3176709444 – 3104682905Our psycho-prophylactic course’s name is “Una espera de amor” (“A Loving wait”) and it is addressed to new parents and those who are again in the adventure of a new pregnancy. It is a workshop created by specialists who will assist the family at this stage of their lives, providing tools to face with joy and serenity each change, pregnancy and postpartum. An innovative initiative, in light of the best scientific evidence and clinical experience to make it a pleasant and fulfilling experience, for giving birth to a happy baby.
A Psycho-prophylactic course is a set of physical, psychological and behavioral strategies to make pregnancy and birth the best love experience, and to reduce the probability of unpleasant events, through general education about pregnancy and its stages.
Tools are provided to achieve a gradual physical preparation by exercising the muscle groups that interact during childbirth and learning relaxation and breathing exercises in order to improve the experience.

What’s in the workshop?
We have a work team integrating several specialists and experts in disciplines related to this subject: an obstetrician-gynecologist, a professional nurse lactation specialist, a physiotherapist, a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a nutritionist and a nursing assistant. It has been integrated with physical and artistic activities and yoga sessions, as well as relaxation techniques, among others, as essential tools to guide and accompany parents in a dynamic and innovative way through the stages of pregnancy, delivery/cesarean section and baby’s primary care.
-Practical breathing, relaxation and stretching techniques, as well as an exercise guide for pregnancy, and yoga.
-Pelvic floor strengthening exercises.

-Practice of techniques and breathing during labor.
-Workout with exercise balls and bands.
-Practical simulation with realistic newborn prototypes for breastfeeding and newborn care.
