    The radiotherapy service of Fundación Valle del Lili has a cutting-edge technology platform.

    Three linear accelerators are available, including our next generation equipment, the Truebeam with Novalis and our won CT simulation scanner under the Siemens Confidence service; both are the first in the country.

    The service treats approximately 1150 patients per year with techniques including 3D Conformal Radiotherapy, Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), with Volumetric modulated Arc radiotherapy, Total Body Radiotherapy for adult and pediatric patients, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Intra- and Extracranial stereotactic radiosurgery.

    It also has high-rate brachytherapy with 3D planning for treating patients diagnosed with gynecological or skin neoplasms.

    For the planning process, modern systems are in place intended to aid in improving calculations and image fusion in order to achieve an optimal delimitation of volumes in the area to be treated.

    Modern quality control systems are available.

    We have a medical team with:

    • 3 Radiotherapy oncology specialists(two with a Master degree and one with a PhD) and 3 medical physicists, all trained in international centers, and 1 physicist.
    • Three Dosimetrists.
    • two nurses, one specialized in oncology.
    • 2 nursing assistants.
    • 10 Radiotherapy technologists.
    • One Administrative Medical Coordination.
    • One Biomedical engineer.

    The radiotherapy service has highly qualified staff using available modern technology to offer treatments with a cutting-edge approach.

    The service intends to prioritize humane treatment when dealing with the patient and to offer personalized treatments with each specialist administering treatment for their own patients, ensuring patient confidence during treatment.

    International quality standards are followed, in addition to a multidisciplinary approach that provides the patient with safe and reliable treatments.
