We won 1st prize for best paper at the Inter-American Congress of Cardiology!
The Inter-American Society of Cardiology awarded the poster titled "The Best Work" Latin American Registry of Cardiovascular Disease and COVID-19 (CARDIO COVID 19-20): Final Results. Research Group CARDIO COVID 19-20, during the 29th Inter-American Congress of Cardiology, held in Miami, from June 8 to 11.
Since the pandemic began, the Fundación Valle del LiliFrom the Inter-American Society of Cardiology, he developed a registry for To evaluate the behavior of Covid-19 in hospitalized patients with or without cardiovascular diseases and to recognize the possible outcomes and associated complications. This registry included approximately 3.400 patients from 44 institutions in different countries around the world.
At the conference, the group presented a poster with the overall results of this study and nine other posters with specific data from the registry (gender, age, heart failure, arrhythmia, among others). The first of these posters received the prestigious award for best work.
Currently, the authors have focused on publishing in various scientific journals and developing a new research project involving long-term paraclinical and imaging follow-up of these patients, in order to continue observing the impact of Covid-19.
