What does this specialty do?

Hemato-Oncology is the medical subspecialty dedicated to the study, diagnosis, treatment and comprehensive prevention of benign and malignant blood diseases (Hematology), as well as the management of cancer and solid tumors (Oncology).

The hematologist-oncologist is trained to administer highly complex treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy and bone marrow transplantation (stem cells), offering comprehensive, humanized and multidisciplinary care for adult and pediatric patients.

The Hemato-Oncology service offers specialized care for hematological and oncological pathologies, both malignant and benign, in adult and pediatric populations (0 to 18 years).
