What does this specialty do?
The Speech-Language Pathology service provides comprehensive care to individuals at all stages of life, from newborns to older adults, both in outpatient and inpatient settings. It offers evaluation, intervention, and counseling in the areas of swallowing and feeding, language and learning, voice, oromotor functions, and neurodevelopment.
It also includes basic auditory, electrophysiological and vestibular assessments, therapies under an auditory-verbal approach and auditory rehabilitation and habilitation processes for people with hearing aids.

- Hearing aids: Auditory-verbal therapy, auditory habilitation and rehabilitation.

- Neurodevelopment: evaluation, intervention and adaptation of alternative communication systems.
- Videofluoroscopy: Objective evaluation of swallowing at the outpatient and hospital level (Diagnostic Imaging Service).
- FEES: objective evaluation of swallowing at the hospital level (Otorhinolaryngology Service).
