What does this specialty do?
Hepatology is the subspecialty of internal medicine and gastroenterology dedicated to the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the liver and biliary tract. The service provides comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic liver diseases, including those requiring liver transplantation.
