The outpatient pediatric consultation works in association with other pediatric subspecialties (the emergency department, as well as the pediatric infectology, pediatric gastroenterology, genetics, pediatric nephrology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric neurology, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric rheumatology, pediatric allergology and immunology departments, the neonatal and pediatric intensive care unit, and the cardiovascular intensive care unit), so that you will immediately have full support by a highly trained team using cutting-edge technology if your child’s condition requires it.

At each visit, a variety of screening procedures are indicated, as required according to the patient’s age group: metabolic, visual, auditory tests, screening for hip dysplasia, blood pressure measurement in patients older than 3 years or earlier if risk factors are identified. Also, prevention guides are given to the parents, in order to encourage caring of their children and reduce the risk of illness and/or death.
