Molecular techniques are methods that help in the identification of disease markers, long before the onset of clinical manifestations. They are capable of identifying molecular markers, help in the association of structure findings with functional alterations of the disease and allow for the proposal of potential therapeutic interventions in the future.

The Molecular Genetics Service is addressed to patients with malignant diseases, congenital chromosomal disorders, structural abnormalities affecting metabolic functions; growth anomalies, central nervous system anomalies and immune system anomalies with malignancy development.
