Fundación Valle del Lili’s Rheumatology Service, has more than 20 years’ experience and has showed a significant growth in recent years. Currently, the team is made up of 6 internists/rheumatologists specially focused on comprehensive care for patients, as well as research and academic development and teaching.
Rheumatologists are responsible for diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases, including osteoarthritis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic low back pain, tendinitis, lupus, Sjögren syndrome and fibromyalgia, as well as uncommon diseases, such as scleroderma, myositis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, among others.

Rheumatologists make a comprehensive medical record, perform thorough physical examinations and, according to their assessment, define the need for complementary studies and establish a tailored treatment plan. Education in the medical field at undergraduate and graduate level is provided within the Institution.
