What does the service offer?

The rheumatology service offers:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of diseases included in the definition of the specialty
  • Comprehensive assistance to hospitalized patients and outpatients.
  • Basic, epidemiologic, clinic and therapeutic research.
  • Patient education through interactive talks with various rheumatologists of the service and related specialties.
  • Osteomuscular ultrasound for diagnosis and monitoring of autoimmune diseases.
  • Biopsy of the minor salivary glands for diagnosis of Sjögren’s disease and muscle biopsy to diagnose muscular diseases.

Fundación Valle del Lili’s Rheumatology Service has become a center of reference at a local and national level, as we provide integral management for our patients, centered in the human being; and assuring the highest quality standards in the academic, technological and research fields within a modern and intelligent infrastructure.

Rheumatologists make a comprehensive medical record, perform thorough physical examinations and, according to their assessment, define the need for complementary studies and establish a tailored treatment plan. Education in the medical field at undergraduate and graduate level is provided within the Institution.
