Vascular Surgery is a medical-surgical specialty which focuses in the management of diseases of the peripheral vascular system (veins and arteries, except the heart and the brain), the lymphatic vessels, and the aorta.

  • Outpatient consultation focused in prevention, diagnosis and management of aorta complex diseases, lower extremity arterial disease, varicose veins and lymphedema.
  • The Lymphology Service offers lymphatic drainage, pressotherapy, and multilayer compression bandaging.
  • In the Flebology Service, the diagnosis and treatment of lower extremity varicose veins is available.
  • In the Vascular Laboratory, Lower and Upper extremity Doppler Venous Ultrasound, Lower and Upper extremity Arterial Doppler Ultrasound, Carotid Doppler Ultrasound and Lower and Upper extremity Arterial Plethysmography are available.
  • Surgical and endovascular management of aortic disease.
  • Surgery, radiofrequency and sclerotherapy are available for varicose veins treatment.
  • Surgical management of peripheral artery disease through lower extremity revascularization (surgical or endovascular).
  • Hemodialysis access through construction of arteriovenous fistula and catheter implantation.

A group of vascular surgeons, general practitioners, and nurse specialized in the area, available 24 hours a day for providing their services to the community.
