Introduction

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death nationally and globally. Because of this, the Cardiology service of Fundación Valle del Lili, active since the foundation of our institution, has worked throughout these years to improve the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the community.

Who are the target population?

The prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in adults starts from adolescence (e.g. risk factors: sedentary lifestyle, obesity, smoking), through young adulthood (e.g. dyslipidemia, hypertension, diabetes mellitus) up to the old age (e.g. coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, arrhythmia)
