Target populationInfants and children up to 18 years old
The Pediatric Endocrinology Service has been in operation for approximately 15 years. It is focused on providing healthcare for the pediatric population from infants to children up to 18 years of age. It is responsible for attending different pathologies, such as all hormonal imbalances of children through childhood, adolescence and early adulthood. Some of the conditions that are treated are thyroid, diabetes, obesity, puberty issues, ambiguous genitalia, among other pathologies.
We offer bone densitometry services for children and adolescents, as well as education in and initiation of insulin pump treatment for diabetic children. Also, we lead the gender clinic for children and adolescents, and provide support for the Clinic’s laboratory hormonal tests.
Two Pediatric Endocrinologists are part of our team: Dra. Liliana Mejía and Dr. Mario Angulo.
Fundación Valle del Lili’s Pediatric Endocrinology Service differentiates from other services because of its multidisciplinary work, availability of the best technology and the quality of treatments.
