Pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus

Target population

Pediatric population, and adult and pediatric patients with strabismus.
Objective of the service

The Pediatric Ophthalmology Service is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of visual and ocular disorders in children. Additionally, it treats strabismus in children and adults. It has a long history in the treatment of various pathologies, including retinoblastoma, which is the most frequent intraocular tumor in children, as well as the treatment for retinopathy of prematurity, among others.

Why choosing the service?

In addition to offering surgery for cases of strabismus in adults, our Service provides the advantages offered by the Fundación Valle del Lili: interaction with Ophthalmology subspecialists and a variety of other medical specialties focused on adults, in case they need it.

The Service is also supported by other Ophthalmology subspecialties in cases where interaction/intervention by other branches of the specialty is required. There is extensive support by the Pediatric Service with all its subspecialties in cases of coexistence with other systemic pathologies.
