30 days old infants to children up to 18 years of age.
Introduction

The Intensive Pediatric Care unit of Fundación Valle del Lili, was created approximately 20 years ago in response to the need to provide comprehensive care to the child population in the city and the department of Valle del Cauca who are in critical health conditions, starting from the characterization of the patients’ physical and psychological condition as well as their family, which favors disease improvement.

The service has a total of 30 beds available, 10 for cardiovascular pathologies and 20 for other critical conditions. Each cubicle is equipped to perform high-complexity procedures, providing the necessary comfort measures for patients and their families to feel like at home.

This service is addressed to:

Infants of 30 days of age and children up to 16 years old in critical health conditions, trauma and postoperative patients, and patients with exacerbation of renal failure or ventilatory failure, among other conditions.

7 intensivist pediatricians are part of our team, 2 are dedicated to the exclusive care of patients with cardiovascular diseases and 5 are responsible for other conditions requiring critical care. Additionally, we have a healthcare team of nurses and nursing assistants, duly trained in the care and specific management of this type of patients.

We are a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals with human, physical and clinical qualifications required for caring and managing pediatric patients in critical health conditions. We serve all of our patients and their families with love, respect and human warmth, using cutting-edge technology, with regional medical equipment and infrastructure.
