The beneficiaries are young people from the Lilitalentos programme, which supports young people with exceptional talents who have barriers to accessing higher education.
“This program has been a success. The young people who have participated in it have given us great satisfaction for their projects and because they have gone to university. That is why we are going to grant 100% of their university studies at Icesi University and during their career we will give a monthly financial aid equivalent to a minimum wage, in order to contribute to the needs of them and their families”, , of them and their families”, said Dr. Vicente Borrero, Director General of Fundación Valle del Lili at the closing of the first promotion of the program.
In addition, the director said, "We do not ask for anything in return for Fundación Valle del Lili, but for the region and the country. Be responsible and love your families, be generous and kind to society and be leaders who multiply their knowledge”.
Esteban Piedrahita, the rector of Icesi University, was present at the ceremony, "We greatly appreciate the trust of Fundación Valle del Lili in us for the university training of these talented people. It will be a great journey for them, in which they will be accompanied by us and the Foundation".
Lilitalentos, is a program of the Social Responsibility Unit of Fundación Valle del Lili that seeks to impact the future of education in the region and strengthens the Deep Alliance for Life with the Icesi University.
