Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (Virtual Health Library, BVS, in Spanish) was established in 1998 as a model, a strategy and an operational platform for technical cooperation of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for information and healthcare knowledge management in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
