Visit of Dr. Michael Mcneil, Director of the St. Jude Global Palliative Care Program

In the previous days, we had the visit of Dr. Michael Mcneil, director of the St. Jude Global Palliative Care Program, and his team consisting of Dr. Ximena García and Diana Ríos.

This session addressed key issues in pediatric palliative care. Among the points highlighted was the comprehensive approach to pain management as a fundamental strategy for humanization. In addition, the Promise of Comfort project was discussed, an initiative that aims to transform our institution into a hospital that minimizes the pain associated with needle procedures, thus ensuring a more comfortable environment for our pediatric patients.
